Bring Your Dog to School

For a Pawsitive Experience In Learning with your dog

Scientific based, positive, friendly and gentle training in small groups with a certified professional dog trainer

Private:  Private lessons for $70/hr or $200 for 3 private lessons

Semi-private: min 2-3 dogs per class for $35/hr each, or $100 each dog  for 3 semi-private lessons.

Group Classes – maximum of 5 dogs per class, 1 hour per class

Puppy Class - 6 Weeks - $150 plus hst

(puppies 17 weeks and younger, immunization required)

·   Basic dog care

·   Key principles of how dogs learn

·   good manners nipping, chewing, jumping up, food bowl, appropriate toys

·    safety – kids and dogs

·    socialization & play with other puppies and people

·    building strong positive relationship between dog and handler

·     introduction to basic cues sit, down, stand, and come

·     walking on a loose leash

Level 1 Class – 6 Weeks - $150 plus hst

(all dogs welcome)

·      Basic dog care

·      Key principles of how dogs learn

·      Setting your dog up for success

·      How to motivate your dog

·      Safety exercises:  Trade, off

·      Hand signals: sit, down, stand, stay

·      Verbal cues: sit down stand, stay

·      Reliable Recalls

·      Loose leash walking

 

Level 2 Class - 6 Weeks - $150 plus hst

(dogs who have completed Level 1)

·      Prepare your dog to be a Canine Good Citizen

·      Politely greet people

·      Politely greet other dogs

·      Handling of dogs ears and feet

·      Working in the presence of greater distractions

·      Greater attention to handler

Level 3 Class - 6 Weeks - $150 plus hst

(Dogs who have completed level 2)

·    work on advanced skills and training techniques

·     increase distraction distance and duration

·     introduction of training technique - shaping

·     advanced safety skills – dog and handler

·     focus on handler skills

·     new cues – go around, touch, back up
